Biography:

Mr Shuttleworth is a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon employed by Swansea NHS Trust and based at Singleton Hospital.

He attended Medical School in London and was appointed a Consultant in November 2001 having spent 10 years in various training grades including specialist on the South West of England training rotation. His training was predominantly at Bristol Eye Hospital where he also gained a Fellowship in Oculoplastic and adnexal disease between March 2000 and May 2001.

His clinical case-mix is varied and encompasses cataract surgery, oculoplastic surgery (including abnormalities of eyelid position, height, shape and blepharoplasty), orbital disease and adult squint.

He is involved in teaching/training, research and audit my surgical results.
