Further InformationEven if your device is not listed on the previous page, it is likely that you will be able to connect to Sancta Maria Internet Access. Almost all 802.11b/g compliant devices will be able to connect to this. This includes, but is not limited to: laptops, some mobile phones (with wifi built in), PDAs, Blackberries, Palm PCs, Playstation Portable (PSPs), Nintendo DS, etc. This service is not guaranteed. There is no support available for if you are unable to connect or for any problems which may occur. The nursing staff are unlikely to be able to answer questions about the service. It is provided as-is and any issues with the service will be fixed as soon as we are aware. The wireless service provided by Sancta Maria is unencrypted and therefore any traffic you send or receive could potentially be listened to by a third party. We recommend you do not send any personal details over an unencrypted connection. Most e-commerce (online shopping) sites and bank websites will encrypt your traffic. As a rule of thumb, any secure site you visit (your browser might display a padlock symbol to confirm this) will be safe to browse regardless of the connection type. We also recommend you have security packages installed on your device and ensure they are up-to-date before connecting. We are not responsible for any loss of data as a result of using this service. We kindly request that you think of other users whilst using the wireless service. Please do not do anything which may interrupt the access for other users or which may request a very large amount of data. We ask that you do not run peer-to-peer (P2P) applications (such as KaZaA, BitTorrent, Gnutella, etc) or download excessive amounts of data by other means. We have a fair usage policy of 250MB/day. Any user found exceeding this limit may have their connection interrupted or limited. |
