Cleanliness and Infection Control

Sancta Maria Hospital follows rigorous infection control procedures, and as a result has had no known occurrences of MRSA. We routinely screen patients who could be carrying MRSA unknowingly prior to hospital admission and great emphasis is placed on infection control measures, including hand hygiene and cleaning throughout the hospital. We also include mandatory infection control training for all our staff. A public awareness brochure is also on display throughout the hospital.

We employ our own housekeepers, who are managed by the Hotel Services Manager.

Standards of housekeeping received a special commendation during the hospital's last HAP inspection.
