Medical Advisory Committee

The hospital's Medical Advisory Committee meets regularly. The Committee's membership includes consultant representatives from each surgical specialty. This Committee offers guidance and advice on clinical practice, audit and governance.

In order to ensure the highest standards of care and patient safety, consultants wishing to practice at Sancta Maria Hospital must apply for practice privileges and prove that they satisfy a comprehensive set of criteria. Each application is vetted by the Medical Advisory Committee before approval is given.
