Has Sancta Maria Hospital had any known cases of MRSA? No. There have been no known cases of MRSA at Sancta Maria Hospital . We routinely screen patients for MRSA prior to admission and follow strict hygiene procedures. The use of single or low occupancy rooms also minimises any risks. Return to list of FAQs
In order to reduce waiting times, there are various government initiatives in place that mean that NHS patients can sometimes receive their treatment in private hospitals. The majority of private hospitals in the UK are treating NHS patients in this way, and Sancta Maria does so under arrangements with the Welsh NHS and Swansea NHS Trust. Return to list of FAQs
Does the standard of care provided to private and NHS patients differ? No. The care provided by Sancta Maria Hospital is of the same high standard, regardless of who is paying for the treatment. There may, however, be differences in the non-clinical facilities provided. Return to list of FAQs

What should I bring with me when being admitted? We would recommend that all patients bring night clothes, dressing gown and slippers. We do provide soap and shampoo but suggest you bring with you any other toiletries you may require during your stay. Please do not bring any valuables with you. Return to list of FAQs
