Biography:

Dr. Thomas has specialised in Gastroenterology since 1991 and has extensive experience in that field, as well as in General Medicine. Her special interests include the management of Inflammatory Bowel Disease, and she also works closely with her surgical colleagues in the tertiary referral centre locally in complex cases where biological agents may be required. She is the Clinical Lead across the Trust for Nutrition, which often can become a problem in gut disorder. Dr. Thomas has a wide base of experience in the management of all functional gut disorders such as Irritable Bowel Syndrome and Non-Ulcer Dyspepsia.

Her endoscopic skills are reflected by the fact she is highly involved in the endoscopy training within Wales, she not only teaches on the courses but also organises the colonoscopy training courses held in Swansea.
