Biography:

A native of the Rhondda Valley, David qualified from the Welsh National School of Medicine in 1968. His Postgraduate training took place in Cardiff, Birmingham and Bristol. He was appointed Consultant in 1976 and worked as an Orthopaedic Surgeon for the next 22 years, retiring from the NHS in 1998. He was awarded a Hunterion Professorship from the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1992.

Since retirement from the NHS he has specialised in Medico-Legal work and has been a member of the Academy of Experts for many years.
