Biography:
Mr. Khonji graduated in medicine from the University of Bristol in 1994 (MBChB). He trained in Surgery and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in 1999. He went on to specialise in Breast Surgery and undertook a fellowship in Oncoplastic Surgery in the National Centre for Burns and Plastic Surgery, Swansea, 2006.
He was appointed as Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon in 2007. In 2011 he became Lead Clinincian for Breast services in ABMU Health Board; the largest Health Board in Wales.
He has led the development of Oncoplastic Breast Surgery in Wales and performed the first stem-cell enhanced fat graft for Breast Reconstruction. He specialises in aesthetic Breast Surgery, Breast Cancer Surgery and treatment of male breast tissue (Gynaecomastia).
He has been featured in two BBC News features on fat grafting and Gynaecomastia.
